Proformance Sports Training is beginning to be the hotbed for the football players looking for the next level. It's happening for a couple reasons. In football, the myth is that bigger, stronger, and faster are all going to lead you to becoming a better football player and potentially get a scholarship or even make it to the pros. That's not necessarily true. If we add 10 pounds of muscle to your body, and we actually make you a slower athlete or get you to play at a fraction of a second slower than when you were 10 pounds lighter, then you are actually a worse football player. There's a lot more to becoming a better player, a more recruitable player than meets the eye. If you can't get to the play and make an impact at a high school level, you are probably not going to get there and make an impact at the collegiate level.
Our goal starts with an assessment of each athlete to show us what's missing. 20 pounds, 15 pounds, 10 pounds of muscle may not be the answer. The correct answer may be to get your body to move at velocities and reaction times that are going to get you to be a playmaker. If you are not making plays, you are not recruitable.
What's happening here at Proformance Sports Training is athletes are starting to open their eyes and get away from how much they can bench, how much they can squat. If its not applicable energy, if its not applicable weight that can be distributed and cover ground and make big plays, then it's a waste of time. Typically there is more time spent in the weight room in football than any other sport. The reason that people are coming to Proformance Sports Training is because we're trying to take that time that you are busting your tail and make it highly efficient. We're going to take you and build you up to give you that high performance and give you that missing link that's going to get you to be a dominant football player. We're sending out athletes that are making a difference. They're becoming playmakers here at Proformance.
