Figure skating is a sport of technique and stability. At Proformance we train our figure skaters to strengthen their core which will ensure proper posture during their routine. Figure skating requires flexibility and strength which our trainers will focus on for each individual skater after evaluating their specific needs. The two most important parts of a skater's legs are their hips and knees which are required for stability and change in movements. A figure skaters workout would also include numerous stretches and mobility exercises to allow the skater to land their routines on the ice. Figure skaters also need to improve their cardiovascular endurance to last through their on ice performances. By improving their conditioning and endurance off the ice, skaters will execute their routines at a higher level and reach new heights.
