Injury Prevention and Rehabilitation

At Proformance we work on injury prevention and well as rehabilitation. Even after an athlete is cleared by a physical therapist or doctor, their injury can still prevent them from reaching top speed or having pain free change of direction. Many athletes will go through various injuries in their career and we want to strengthen any weakened areas to prevent future injuries as well as fix current or previous damages.

Injury prevention is done by strengthening up all your core muscles and all the muscles surrounding your joints. In order to prevent an injury to the knee, an athlete must strengthen their quad, hamstring, and calves to stabalize their knee and properly use the surrounding muscles. We want to limit any time that an athlete would have to sit out for an injury by preventing future injuries as well as strenghtening and rehabing any injuries they are struggling with. We want to work with athletes to get them stronger on a whole level so they are less likely to get an injury.
